Acne on face and body-

Most of us think of face when we think of acne. That is because of two reasons. Acne does affect face more than other body areas. Secondly we can hide acne on our back or chest, but not on face. Acne on face makes us self-conscious. Let us find out what is the difference between acne on face and acne on other body areas.

Acne- where does it form?

Acne forms on the sebaceous glands. Every sebaceous gland is suspect to form acne. The sebum that gets blocked inside the gland forms acne by getting infected. By this theory we can get acne on allover body except few places such as lips etc. that do not have sebaceous glands.

Sebaceous glands distribution on body

Though our whole body skin has these glands, the density is different. These glands are more on face and upper trunk. Areas such as feet etc. all have glands but the density is much small. Therefore we have more probability of getting acne on face and upper trunk compared to other body parts.

Is acne different on different body parts?

Acne as I said earlier is a disease of sebaceous glands. As the glands all over the body are same the acne is also same. There is no difference at all between acne on face and acne on the upper arms or trunk. Please treat acne on all body areas with the same medication. There is no difference. Skin is your largest and most visible organ since it covers the entire body. Having attractive, healthy skin starts from the inside and reflects on the outside. The first step towards taking proper care of your skin is to determine what type of skin you are in right now. The American Academy of Dermatology acknowledges several different types of skin. Your skin type can also change depending upon certain internal factors, such as health problems, hormonal imbalances or taking certain medications.

The following are guidelines to help you identify your particular kind of skin and choose products with all natural skin care ingredients that are suitable for it:

Normal: This type of skin is neither exceedingly dry or oily and usually has no blemishes or discolorations. Natural treatments include chamomile, cypress, camphor, rose, lavender, rosemary, sweet almond oil, grape seed and soy.

Dry: If you skin is flaky, ashy, and tight but lacking in elasticity, you have dry skin. Herbal remedies include orange, jasmine, carrot seed, avocado, calendula, rose hips and rice bran.

Oily: Skin that appears slick or shiny with enlarged pores is considered oily. A tissue rubbed against this skin will have oily residue on it from all areas of your face. Helpful herbs include lemongrass, peppermint, thyme, cedar wood, geranium, patchouli, hazelnut, olive and refined coconut oil.

Combination: If you have combination skin, your forehead, chin and nose are oily and there are dry patches near your hair and jaw lines. When you rub a tissue on your skin and only the “t-zone” areas around your forehead, nose and chin yield oily residue, then you surely have combination skin. Holistic solutions for combination skin include ylang ylang, rosewood, sweet orange, jojoba and apricot.

Acne-prone: Skin with enlarged pores that is disposed to clogging, blackheads, whiteheads, cysts and redness is acne-prone. Herbal remedies such as tea tree oil, manuka, basil, mint, grapefruit, coriander, lime, hazelnut and grape seed are often used for acne-prone skin.

Sensitive: This type of skin is often blotchy and prone to redness, rashes and irritation. Natural treatments with rose, jasmine, carrot, almond, sesame, calendula and jojoba have been effective and are usually non-irritating.

Water is another simple, all natural skin care solution for people with all types of skin to keep hydrated. Experts have found that healthy skin is promoted by consuming water equal to half of your body weight in ounces. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds, you would drink 75 ounces of water a day for maximum health benefits. Furthermore, the simplest and most effective skin care regime includes a using a gentle cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen all year round.

By figuring out your individual skin type, you can incorporate all natural skin care products into a simple routine to enhance the health of your skin so that you can look and feel your best everyday.

Here are some tips to get smaller pores from home and without spending a lot of money:

Tip #1: The Icey Hot Way: Steam your face to open your pores. Fill a basin with extra warm water. Make sure the water is not too hot. Hold your face over the basin for 1-3 minutes. Then, grab a washcloth and drench it in lemon juice. Place the washcloth firmly on your face for 1 minute. Then rinse your skin with warm water. Lemon juice contains enzymes that tighten and firm the face and purify and brighten the skin. Lemon particularly has the ability to cleanse and shrink the appearance of pores. Lastly, apply ice cubes to your face. Place the ice cubes gently along your pores for 15-30 seconds. This will have a tightening effect on your skin.

Tip #2: Regenerate and firm your collagen to tighten your pores. Apply fresh aloe vera gel mixed with 2 egg whites to your face. Allow to sit on your face for 10-15 minutes or until dry. Rinse with warm water. This will also shrink your pores.

Also, you can use pore reducing products. I have always been plagued with big pore and big pores equal big acne. To my dismay, few skin care companies cater to big pores beyond Neutrogena’s pore refining products. Recently, however, I stumbled across Beauty 4 Ashes ® “U Big Pore Baby”™ system. This system, although priced at $54.99, works wonders for large pores and feels great on the skin. An additional boon for the system is that it is completely all-natural.

Let me say that I am not a natural product fanatic, I use what works. However, for an all natural product to produce the same quality results as comparatively priced synthetic products, such as Philosophy or Proactiv, I have to give it thumbs up. The system includes a pore refining sugar scrub, a pore tightening citrus toner, and an Aloe Vera repair serum. I loved the fragrance, most likely an effect of the essential oil ingredients, and I saw significant results within 60 days.

The Magic Ingredients

The “U Big Pore Baby” ™ system contains citrus fruit essential oils that naturally penetrate and cleanse pores while also tightening them. Sounds too good to be true? Not really. An essential oil packs more power than most chemically created acne solutions. Plus, most citrus fruits are natural diuretics, which detoxify the skin while also firming it. Additionally, citrus fruits are packed with Vitamin C and collage rebuilding minerals. Vitamin C is actually a skin lightener. Remember how Vitamin C lightened the eyes of individuals with scurvy or jaundice? Not to mention, the “U Big Pore Baby System”™ also includes Emu Oil, Lavender, and the natural form of salicyclic (BHA), which is white willow bark. These ingredients alone are effective to reduce acne, refine pores, and remove scars. Some individuals even sell Emu Oil separately for $35 because of its renowned effect on the skin.

Is it for you?

Well, that is a personal decision. The company is professional. Their products are chock full of great ingredients and their prices are comparative to what you expect to spend for a quality acne or pore refining product. In fact, their prices may be under priced, considering they are made from all natural ingredients. Within one week, I noticed that my skin was softer, more clear, and firmer. By two weeks, many of my dark spots had begun to fade and my pores were unclogged and stay unclogged. By three weeks, my pores had definitely reduced in size. Your individual genetics determine how quickly your skin ages and show signs of aging. Signs of aging skin include fine wrinkles, dry and itchy skin, thinness and transparency of skin and the inability to sweat enough to cool the surface of the skin. There are two types of aging, intrinsic and extrinsic. Intrinsic aging is determined by your genes and is also referred to as the natural aging process. Extrinsic aging is external and is caused by the presence of various environmental factors.

Intrinsic aging factors are inevitable since they are defined by heredity so there is no way to change their natural course. However, extrinsic aging factors can be controlled by your behaviors and habits so as to slow down the aging process and prevent signs of premature aging. Sun exposure, facial expressions, cigarette smoking and even sleeping positions can cause your skin to age and form wrinkles. Gravity also plays a part in aging skin because of its constant pull on our bodies, coupled with the inevitable decline in elasticity in your skin in your 50’s, causing effects such as droopy eyelids and jowls.

There are several ways to help aging skin with antiaging skin care treatment. Avoiding the sun and artificial tanning can help to keep your skin healthy and hydrated. Gentle cleansing twice a day and using a moisturizer with a sunscreen of SPF 15 or better can block harmful ultraviolet rays from damaging your skin. Avoiding or quitting cigarettes can halt the biological changes caused by smoking and improve the appearance of your skin. Resting your face on your pillow the same way for years can lead to wrinkles, so changing your position can reduce the likelihood of such fine lines that can be etched into the skin over time.

Finally, healthy living overall is a key factor in slowing down the aging process of your skin. Drinking six to eight glasses of water per day, regular exercise, proper sleep habits and a well-balanced diet will reflect on your skin and slow down the extrinsic aging process. It is also important to take vitamin supplements that contain Vitamin A, B and E to maintain the well-being of your skin and body health.

Aging is inevitable but with the right habits, you can make your skin look its very best at any age.

The sebaceous glands in your skin form an oil called sebum, which lubricates and protects the surface of your skin. When the glands are overproductive and form too much sebum, your skin can appear greasy, shiny and course, with large pores and more frequent breakouts. This condition is known as oily skin.

Oily skin can be caused by a wide variety of factors, including genetics, fluctuating hormone levels, dietary choices, certain cosmetics and hot, humid weather. Although oily skin is prevalent in teenagers because skin becomes dryer with age, it can occur at any age. When your skin is oily only in certain areas, this is known as combination skin. The one advantage of having oily skin is that it tends to age at a slower rate than any other type of skin.

For oily skin care treatment, it is imperative to cleanse oily skin two to three times per day. Gentle cleansers with lukewarm water work best to remove oils without stripping the surface of the skin. A gentle astringent or toner should be used after cleansing. Finally, a light moisturizer that is not oil-based can be used in areas prone to dryness, such as around the eyes and mouth. Since oily skin tends to be scaly, the use of a mask twice a week can be very helpful in deep cleansing the pores and removing dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. Another great technique for cleansing the pores is to steam your face over hot water for several minutes twice a week. This loosens the sebum in clogged pores and makes your skin look cleaner and more vital.

Healthy living habits can also improve the appearance and condition of oily skin. Drinking six to eight glasses of water per day, regular exercise and sleep and avoiding cigarettes are good ways to have beautiful skin. Supplementing your diet with vitamins A, B, C, E and zinc also promote healthy skin. With a little extra attention, you can dramatically improve the condition and appearance of your oily skin. If these ideas do not help and your skin remains prone to constant breakouts, you may have a skin condition known as acne, which requires additional care and treatment.

Most people know that the normal pimple has a life cycle of six to eight weeks without serious treatment. But what they don’t know is that when pimples develop into acne, it would require more time to heal, it is painful due to heavy peeling and would eventually leave ugly and uneven acne scars.

If your pimples are taking too long to heal and are spreading all over your face and neck, then you should be visiting your dermatologist so he or she can give you effective acne skin care treatment products as early as now.

SELECTING ACNE TREATMENTS AND PRODUCTS

Acne is one of the most common skin problems that people—young and old—have to deal with today. Being a skin disorder usually caused by irritated blackheads and whiteheads, the development of acne becomes more and more difficult to cure if the infection is neglected and left untreated. This neglect can even cause further irritation and may eventually lead to the production of abscess.

Since prevention is the best treatment to any impending injury or disaster, finding a good line of acne skin care products now can be an effective way to control your growing acne.

Acne skin care treatment products that have antibiotics have been long known as effective solution in treating moderate to severe and persistent acne. Oral treatments include products that contain tetracycline, erythromycin, minocycline and doxycycline are known to be effective.

Most people consider topical acne medication or treatments through creams and surgery as other options in treating acne. One of the most common acne skin care treatment product are acne creams. Before you purchase acne creams, consider these helpful tips:

1. Most dermatologists recommend acne cream as effective acne skin care treatment product because the skin quickly absorbs it.

2. Acne creams are good option because these are derived from natural substances and sources. Quality acne creams can even help you get rid of acne without too much acne scarring.

3. Checking the label. Make sure that the acne cream you plan to buy is hypoallergenic and can be used by children or pregnant women without enduring any pain or discomfort. Knowing the ingredients used in the product will ensure that the acne cream has balanced formulation to deliver effective results.

4. Do a little research on how the formulation and content of these creams help cure the skin infection.

5. Observe how your skin reacts to the acne skin care treatment product. After the initial application, take note of the visible changes so you can avoid possible side effects or allergies.
